The Bishop Museum moving image collection is fairly large and contains a variety of original formats. For the pilot project they chose to include materials from one of their more threatened formats: 2-inch videotape. These tapes contained footage captured by KHET, documenting the return of the Hōkūleʻa from its first voyage.
