Eddie Kamae and George Kuo play the songs "Hinahina Kū Kahakai" and "Kūhiō," also known as "Ka ʻElele i Wakinekona," written by Sam Liʻa Kalainaina. Kalainaina wrote the song "Ka ʻElele i Wakinekona" in early 1900 after a visit from Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole on a political campaign. After they play, Kamae and Kuo talk story, Kamae passionately shares how honored he is to have been chosen to share Kalainaina's stories, music, poetry and aloha with people.
